OUR STORY

Welcome to Chic-arelli, a collection of Antique Ribbons and Textiles recreated for costume designers and those with a love of a bygone era as well as a complementary range of soft furnishings and original antiques.

The Chic-arelli range has been created by Linda Campbell-Down, whose love of collecting antique textiles over many years, has breathed new life into rare and worn fabrics that would otherwise not see the light of day. All of the designs are created from original fabrics held in Linda’s own private collection.

Chic-arelli (taken from Linda’s family name Cicarelli) was created to supply costumiers in the film, TV and theatre industry who demand a high level of authenticity at a fraction of the cost of working with original and rare fabrics.

Our stock ribbons are printed on ‘Silcott Heavy Satin’ material which is a silk and cotton mix or Soft Touch Velvet.

The website shows our first collection of designs and the sizes we will hold in stock. We are adding to the collection all of the time.

​

We are not constrained by the sizes of the designs in the catalogue, any design can be produced in any size to special order. The designs are seamless and can be supplied in lengths to suit your needs.

​

We are also able to undertake commissions to source and supply fabric to your brief. If you have a piece of fabric that you need to recreate our designers can recreate seamless patterns from the original and create ribbons or fabric.
